Thursday night was Marie's Christmas program for school. She was so excited to get dressed up and finally perform her poems and songs she has been practicing since Halloween.
It was a perfect opportunity for Grammy, Papa, and Grandma Nel to jump in the car and drive over for a quick visit as well...Marie was so happy to have her family in the audience to watch.
Marie has a little boyfriend at school.
This is Trey Henry - or as she calls him, her prince. Sometimes they play prince and princess, other times they play Batman and Batgirl. Depends whose turn it is to pick.
At the end of the program, fake snow started falling and the kids were surprised by Santa and Mrs. Claus.
Bennett also got dressed up for the performance. He will get to perform next year at the Christmas Spectacular.
We enjoyed cookies and lemonade following the program. On our way home we drove by some Christmas lights. It was a lovely way to welcome Christmas!
