Celebrating Papa

We had the opportunity to travel down to Norfolk, Nebraska this weekend to watch Papa be inducted into the Norfolk Catholic High School Hall of Fame.
In the words of Marie, "lots of adult talking but Papa got a cool trophy."
The kids behaved well and enjoyed seeing their Grammy, Papa, and Uncle Don & Aunt Jean.

Brooks did a good job being quiet for as long as possible, then Marie helped him stay busy outside playing with dandelions.

Uncle Don was also inducted for his efforts with his undefeated football team.

It was a fast and busy weekend but we enjoyed our time away.
We swam in the pool, ate ice cream, and stayed up way past our bedtime.
Congrats Papa and Uncle Don!

Easter Happenings

This weekend was jam.packed.full.of.fun!
We were happy to welcome Andrew, Liz, and the kids along with Nathan.
We had an absolute blast!

Our rainy Friday turned into a beautiful Saturday and Sunday.
So along with a hike at the nature center and a trip to the fish factory, we also squeezed in a boat ride!
This was Ryan and Allison's first time and they did great!

We also made time for Ryan's first haircut and of course dyeing eggs.

Sunday morning the kids busted down the doors to the sun room to find a trail to their baskets full of goodies after seeing that the easter bunny did in fact eat some of the carrot they left out.

Ryan and Allie knew just what to do...eat those goodies!
Everyone made to church and I'm sure the benches around us enjoyed watching our little circus...all in all our kids did great.

After brunch we hopped outside for our egg hunt!

This was such a blessed weekend! Needless to say we are all tired from all the fun but so thankful that it happened.
