Birthday Boy

Our super duper Dad turned the big 34!
The kids love his birthday...partly because it means their birthdays are coming close too I think!
We enjoyed a nice dinner, a few presents, and his requested strawberry rhubarb crisp.
It was a great day and night celebrating Andy!

Mother's Day

This was an extra special Mother's Day as we were able to celebrate with both grandmothers as well.
First, Grandma Nel and I enjoyed breakfast in bed thanks to the kids and Andy of course.
Then after a relaxing morning, we went to church and brunch with Grammy.
With the beautiful weather that weekend, we also enjoyed a boat ride.
These 3 kiddos are everything to us. I love being a mom, even on those really hard days where it seems like nothing goes right. Thankfully, those days are few, and our blessings are many.

Tumbling Recital 2017

This little lady did such a great job at her tumbling recital.
She has been in tumbling 2 years now and she has learned so much. It's amazing how strong her body is becoming. She enjoys the activity and has asked to continue on for another year.
She danced to "Hey, Hey We're the Monkees" this year and her performance was full of cartwheels, round-offs, back bends, and front & back rolls.
The audience was full of people who love her and we were all so proud of her!

Happy 3rd Birthday, Maya!

Our Maya girl turned 3 years old!
This girl is our protector. She is a sweet little cuddler who is crazy about her kids and all her special people.
She had a rough year losing Gus, but has found love again with her best bud, Rex.
These two love to wrestle and run together.
She is timid and shy but absolutely our guard dog.
We are so very thankful for her.
She enjoyed a special peanut butter treat along with a song for her birthday!

fun day on the farm

These pictures show pure bliss on all of our faces. After a full morning of soccer and a few busy weeks, we simply needed a day at the farm.

Our day was full of chores which we chose to do while visiting the sheep, cows, cats, and horses.
Our kids love life on the farm, especially Marie.
They are begging to go back as soon as possible.
Sometimes, all you need to do is get out to the farm.
There's nothing like the view from the back of a horse.

Family Pics

We had the opportunity for a free mini photo shoot...who can say "no" to that?!
Due to snow and rain we had to postpone it a few times but we finally were able to get the session done last week.

They turned out so well and we were very happy with the outcome.
