For as long as Andy & I have been together, we have enjoyed trips up to see his family in Minnesota.
Each trip is different and fun in their own way.
This time we spent our time with Uncle Don and Aunt Jean.
To celebrate Uncle Don's birthday, we enjoyed a "Horse" themed birthday party complete with horseshoe glasses, stickers, ice cream, and even a trip to the race track.
What a way to spend a hot day, running back and forth from the paddock to the air conditioned tables where we ate our guts full, bet some dollars, and learned even more about horses.
My kids were in 7th heaven.
On Sunday we rode the train into the city for the Twins game with Marie and Bennett while Brooks stayed with Don & Jean. Bella was the main babysitter.
Uncle Nathan met us there where once again we ate our guts full, ran back and forth between the concessions and the seats right behind home plate, spent lots of dollars on food and of course memorabilia, and learned a little more about baseball.
It was a miserable, hot, sticky, and emotional first 3 innings, but then the shade came and innings 4-9 were so much fun!
A big THANK YOU to Aunt Tina for the tickets...right behind home plate!

After a quick supper and debriefing with Don and Jean, we headed home from our busy weekend. The kids love their little get-a-way and so did we!
Thanks to Don and Jean for letting us take over their home...we always appreciate their kindness.
