The past few weeks have been an absolute whirlwind for us - graduation, packing, moving, Marie's birthday, etc, etc, etc. Even though life has been hectic, we have found some time to squeeze in some fun.
Over Memorial Day weekend we headed up to Spencer to take a ride on Papa's new boat. Of course we had to celebrate with some champagne - no worries, Marie and I had water.
We also took some time to go to Yankton, SD . We chose a hot and windy day, but had a great time. I don't think anyone of us had as much fun as Charlie.
He remembered exactly where we were and had the time of his life - acting like a puppy, swimming, fetching, exploring, and of course chewing a bone on the beach blanket...great moments to see out of our 7 year old guy.
We are seeing the beauty of living so close to family. Marie has been able to play with her cousins, grandparents, and aunts & uncles on several occasions. I definitely feel this was a good move for us at this time in our life as we prep for baby #2.
Speaking of baby boy, things are moving right along. We had my 36 week ultrasound and he was 7.1 lbs. This was a relief as it doesn't appear necessary to an amniocentesis and deliver earlier than 39 weeks. My doctors (Andy and my OB) and I agreed that if he doesn't arrive by 39 weeks, we will induce. So, an end is in sight! We are anxious to meet this little guy but also thankful we have some more time with his big sister before he arrives!
