Halloween 2016

This year Marie had the great idea to dress up as the Incredibles family from the Disney movie and in a weak moment, we agreed.
I have to admit I was a little hesitant about all this...but it turned out to be such a fun and memorable Halloween for our family!
Carving pumpkins is always such a fun but big mess. This year Marie was able to do a lot of the work herself - even the carving!

They were pretty proud of their Jack-O-Lanterns.

We also enjoyed trick-or-treating around town and the businesses. Grammy came along to help on one of our adventures, too. Brooks did a great job this year and said "Thank you" at every stop!

Halloween has become such a fun holiday for our family to celebrate and we are already thinking of plans for next year!

Sweet Sunday

We were able to sneak a little time with Allie, Ryan and Liz this past Sunday.
In only a few hours we helped cuddle, play, change diapers, feed, and even made a trip to the park.
These two sweeties are growing and changing every day!

We also got to play a few games of soccer and football in the yard with Grammy and Papa.
Many tackles were made and we all left dirty, sweaty, thirsty, and tired after a fun afternoon.

This weekend they were also able to enjoy two nights with Grandma Nel while she stayed at our house.
They played games, read books, and laughed & laughed.

Our kids are so blessed with Grandparents close by.
We are thankful for the time we get to spend with them and we are always ready for more!

Busy Muetings

October has been a busy month for the Mueting Family.
Marie has been doing tumbling class once again. She is working hard on her flexibility and core strength and it is so much fun to see how she is changing. She is also busy with soccer. Once again her Dad is her coach. They moved up a level (U8) and are doing very well! She is not afraid to chase down that ball, block it, dive on the ground, or take it down the field for a goal.

Bennett is enjoying his first season of U6 soccer and mom is enjoying being his coach along with our good friend, Mara.
We have come along way from just learning how to kick and stop the ball to working on dribbling the ball down the field, passing the ball, and scoring goals.
Brooks has also had a busy month...he is growing rapidly and has taken a turn towards those sneaky and terrible twos.
He loves to play with Bennett and Marie and insists on keeping up with them. He copies nearly everything that is big brother does. He is rough and tough, loves to run as fast as he can, ride his bikes and scooters down the driveway, throw the football, kick the soccer ball, and has taken a huge interest in books and Mickey Mouse.
Brooks also has been known to carry these cows and tractors all around the house, into the van, and even into the grocery store. He loves to play farm and dad's new grass seed was the perfect place to play.
Marie was also able to participate in a cheerleading camp put on by the Spirit Lake High School Cheerleaders. She enjoyed the event and especially liked spending some extra time with one of our favorite babysitters.
Recently we took some time out of the busy schedule to enjoy the outdoors and I simply watched the kids play and took pictures. It was a beautiful, crisp fall day and their imaginations went wild.
Truly a blessed day.

Cousin Bonding Time

A few weekends ago the kids and I packed up and drove over to Aplington to "help" out with Ryan and Allie. There is no denying how much our kids love cuddle up with these babies.
It's amazing how quickly these two cuties have grown!

Uncle Nathan and Aunt Katie were also able to make the trip down.
We fit in a trip to a petting zoo and pumpkin patch. So many animals were fed and pet by us all and we also were able to enjoy a wagon ride.

Marie continues to be so helpful, Bennett loves to play with them, and Brooks is completely obsessed with his Allie girl.

Time was spent cuddling, feeding, playing, and also we went for walks to the park.
We even figured out how to help Ryan and Allie enjoy a ride in the swing!
